Inbee Park wins North Texas LPGA, 3rd get in '13

IRVING, Texas (AP) a Inbee Park shot a 4-under 67 on Sunday to gain the inaugural North Texas LPGA Shootout by a over Carlota Ciganda, whose potential for a first LPGA victory was destroyed in a two-hole stretch. Park, the world's No. 1 women's person, completed at 13-under 271 for her third victory this season and fifth in her last 18 starts. The 24-year-old South Korean sank a birdie putt on the par-5 18th after Ciganda also birdied the hole even after a drive to the right hard. After starting your day two shots behind Ciganda, Park went forward to keep with pars on Nos. 14 and 15, where her playing partner ran into trouble. Ciganda had bogey and double bogey on those holes, section of her 70. Fifth-ranked Suzann Pettersen from Norway, the success in Hawaii the other day, had a final 66 to make it to 10 below and finish third. Therefore Yeon Ryu (68) and hee Young Park (64) tied for fourth at 275. Ciganda matched the world's top player shot for shot in early stages. Where Park knocked hers in before Ciganda, who answered with a slight fist pump when her ball dropped into the glass, they both had birdies at the 403-yard 8th opening. They both had pars at No. 9, where Park was closer to the opening although she was missed the green to the left, and they exchanged birdies again at the par-5 10th. Every thing made in a two-hole stretch. Ciganda's travel at the 416-yard 14th pit settled in the right hard with a between her and the green, and her photo from about 130 meters clipped a department and came up short. She had to be able to save your self par but her 6-foot putt was short. The strategy by Park was on line, and the next rebound on the green was close to the opening before going away. Par was saved by park with two putts, residing at 12 under and finding in just a stroke of the guide that has been hers permanently after the next opening. After moving far from her approach at No. 15, to a surrounded by water on three sides, Ciganda then hit an attempt that visited the right and then rolled into the water. Ciganda had to go back to a drop zone, where the 22-year-old Spaniard had a decent pitch before her first putt rolled over the left border of the green for a double bogey. Still another two-putt par by Park put her in the result in keep. With the $195,000 check for first position, Inbee exceeded $6 million in career earnings and will undoubtedly be No. 1 for the third week in a row. Caroline Masson had a 75 and completed eight shots straight back. The LPGA Tour rookie from Germany brought after each of the very first two rounds and started the final round tied for second with Park. Hee Young Park's 64 was the very best round of your day on the 6,439-yard program with plenty of sloping fairways and raised vegetables. The South Korean was 9 under and alone in third behind Ciganda and Inbee Park, when Park finished her round. Stacy Lewis, the Texas native and No. 2 person on the planet, had an ending 66 when all six birdies and her only bogey got between Nos. 7-17. This season was tied for seventh for her sixth top-10 finish by her. At the finish of her round, Lewis closed the rear brace of a 6-year-old Dallas woman who was clinically determined to have scoliosis at 18 months old. Lewis used the same brace 18 hours per day for seven years after being identified as having scoliosis at age 11 and missed her first collegiate year after a spinal fusion. Third-ranked Na Yeon Choi, one of the four participants tied for seventh, had 44 consecutive bogey-free holes and was 9 under before consecutive bogeys at Nos. 10-12. She continued in order to complete a round of 72.

Manchester City dismiss Roberto Mancini - CNN International

(CNN) -- A year to the day after winning Manchester City's first championship in nearly half a century, coach Roberto Mancini was sacked as the club's ambitious Abu Dhabi owners finally lost patience with the Italian.

The 48-year-old Mancini's dismissal follows City's shock FA Cup defeat by Wigan on Saturday and their inability to defend the English Premier League title the club won last season, with rivals Manchester United running away with the league this season.

"Despite everyone's best efforts, the club has failed to achieve any of its stated targets this year, with the exception of qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League," said a City statement.

"This, combined with an identified need to develop a holistic approach to all aspects of football at the club, has meant that the decision has been taken to find a new manager for the 2013/14 season and beyond."

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan completed a reported $300 million takeover in 2008 and has spent millions more in making City, who will finish second this season, into a major force in the Premier League.

After buying City, Sheikh Mansour invested more than $600 million on players like Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Carlos Tevez, and helped the perennial underachievers beat neighbors Manchester United to the title on goal difference last season.

Mancini's dismissal comes a year to the day since City beat Queens Park Rangers to win its first top-flight title in 44 years and nearly two years to the day since he won the club's first trophy in 35 years, when beating Stoke City in the 2011 FA Cup final.

Yet the club did not make it out of their Champions League group this season, becoming the first English side to fail to win any of its six matches during the group phase of the competition.

The buildup to the FA Cup had been overshadowed with widespread rumors that Mancini, who signed a five year deal last July, would be replaced by former Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini, who guided Malaga to this year's Champions League quarterfinals.

"This has been a difficult decision for the owner, chairman and board to make and it is the outcome of a planned end of season review process that has been brought forward in light of recent speculation and out of respect for Roberto and his extensive contributions to the football club," added the City statement.

On Sunday night, Pellegrini told Malaga's website that he had not lined up any move to become Manchester City's next coach.

"I categorically deny I am the new Manchester City coach, nothing has been signed and no agreement reached," said the Chilean.

"I've been fortunate enough, and am very proud, that every year the big clubs are interested in me. I have an agreement with Malaga not to talk to anyone and nothing has been agreed with any other outfit."

City's assistant manager Brian Kidd has been placed in charge for the remaining two games of the season and the club's post-season tour to the United States before a permanent manager is appointed.

"Roberto's record speaks for itself and he has the respect and gratitude of Sheikh Mansour, myself and the Board for all of his hard work and commitment over the last three and a half years," said chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak in the City statement.

"He has clearly also secured the love and respect of our fans. He has done as he promised and delivered silverware and success, breaking the club's 35-year trophy drought and securing the title in 2012.

"I would like to personally and publicly thank him for his dedication to the progress that he has overseen and for his support and continued friendship."

City's sacking of Mancini came on the day United held a victory parade to mark their 20th league title and Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, an event that drew thousands of fans on to the streets of the English north west city.

Mancini leaves with the fourth highest win percentage of any manager in the Premier League, a record bettered only by former Chelsea coaches Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti, as well as Ferguson himself.

The trophies aside, Mancini's time at City is likely to be remembered for several rows with star players, most notably Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli, and for engineering Manchester United's worst home defeat in 56 years as City won 6-1 at Old Trafford, the first time the Red Devils had conceded six goals at home since 1930.

A former coach of Inter Milan, Mancini was appointed in December 2009 after the club sacked Mark Hughes and was afforded millions to spend in the transfer market by the club's oil-rich owners.

Last August, the Manchester club appointed former Barcelona board member Ferran Soriano as their new chief executive, while in October City appointed former Barcelona technical director Txiki Begiristain as their director of football.

Fantasy Football Offseason Analysis: Mendenhall, Vick, Geno Smith And More!

Most Fantasy owners were excited about the prospect of Rashard Mendenhall once he was signed with Arizona. Beanie Wells is gone, and Ryan Williams was his only competition? What could go wrong? The addition of Stepfan Taylor and Andre Ellington, that's what. Taylor has been compared to a poor man's Vick Ballard, but the rookie to keep an eye on is Ellington. He'll stay buried behind Mendenhall and Williams on the depth chart for now, but an injury to either makes him a rookie to watch. Mendenhall is now almost a year and a half removed from ACL surgery, but he did struggle last year. Williams has been hurt seemingly forever and is an injury risk. It is unlikely that Arizona will use a running back by committee, as that isn't Bruce Arians' style. Look for Mendenhall to have the job and Ellington to be his backup. Draft Mendenhall as a low RB2 in standard leagues, with Williams as his backup. But don't be surprised if you wish you had Ellington by the end of the season.

I suppose it's time to speculate on what is going to happen with the Jets this year. Currently, the QB depth chart features Mark Sanchez at the top of the list, followed by Geno Smith and Greg McElroy. David Garrard has retired from football and Tim Tebow was cut from the team. From the perspective of the Jets, they know how Sanchez can perform and they know that didn't get them wins. Look for Smith to be given an opportunity, for better or worse. Unfortunately for either quarterback, the Jets' receiving corps leaves much to be desired. Santonio Holmes tops the list, but he is still recovering from Lisfranc foot surgery. He'll sit out most of the offseason practices. He's followed by Stephen Hill, who is recovering from a knee surgery as well. Hill didn't have an impressive rookie season, but could potentially step up. The healthiest receiver at the top of the depth chart is then Jeremy Kerley. He'll play the slot and has the best chance to succeed this year. Don't look at any of the receivers as guys that will truly help your team, but the one to take a chance on is Kerley.

While the Bucs organization originally said that they have their starting quarterback (in Josh Freeman), don't be surprised if Mike Glennon makes an appearance on the field at some point this year. Freeman is currently backed up by Dan Orlovsky, but it is likely that Glennon will surpass Orlovsky on the depth chart. Orlovsky proved he could get the job done if needed (in Indianapolis), but he isn't a true backup. The Bucs likely believe that Glennon would benefit from a year of watching Freeman and then becoming their starter, but if Glennon can outshine Freeman in practice, they may just give him the gig. With Vincent Jackson still as the top receiver, a quarterback can succeed. Doug Martin gave the Bucs an above-average run game, so with a quarterback who can spread the field, the team could succeed. V-Jax has limited value because either quarterback isn't exactly a stud, but he is still a WR2, regardless of which guy is at the helm.

The San Diego Chargers drafted Keenan Allen with the No. 76 pick overall. While the rookie wide receiver may be low on the draft board, he may prove to be competition for Malcom Floyd and Vincent Brown. Danario Alexander is the clear No. 1 receiver in San Diego, but the No. 2 spot is up for grabs. Floyd currently has the spot, but with his 814 receiving yards and five touchdowns last year, the spot isn't necessarily his. Brown didn't play in 2012 because of an ankle injury, but he should be good to go in 2013. It's hard to rank him at this point as he hasn't been on the field. According to the National Fantasy Championships, Brown's ADP is 153, Floyd is 136 and Allen is 236. Allen is worth drafting in dynasty leagues, but for now, he isn't on the radar for standard leagues.

While everyone focuses on the quarterback controversy that is going on with the New York Jets, another one is slowly brewing in Philadelphia. Michael Vick sits atop the depth chart with Nick Foles as his backup. This appeared to work last season and seemingly was the plan for 2013 as well. Until the Eagles traded up to get Matt Barkley on their team. Barkley is known for his accuracy but not for his arm strength. Vick is known for his arm strength, but at times his accuracy leaves much to be desired. He'll likely be the Week 1 starter, but don't be surprised if Barkley passes Foles on the depth chart. With Vick's injury history, expect to see Barkley starting a game at some point this season. For now, all Barkley does is continue to lower Vick's Fantasy value. Another rookie to keep an eye on is Zach Ertz. While the Eagles did acquire James Casey in free agency, look for Ertz to replace an aging Brent Celek. While Celek's yards only took a slight dip from 2011, his touchdown total plummeted. He only had one TD in 2012, his lowest since 2008. Avoid all Philadelphia tight ends on draft day until it is sorted out. For now, Casey looks like the best bet, but he's only a low TE2.

While Kendall Wright and Kenny Britt have the No. 1 and 2 slots set for the Titans, Justin Hunter will come in as the third receiver. He needs to, according to sources, bulk up a bit, but he should be on the field quite a bit in 2013. The problem for the Titans is Jake Locker. The receiving corps is solid, but the quarterback play is not. Hunter doesn't really have much value in standard leagues, and he doesn't threaten Wright and Britt at this point. He may take some receptions away from Delanie Walker or Nate Washington, but the Titans aren't going to throw the ball 30 or 40 times a game. Washington is buried on the depth chart, and may not even be on the team come Week 1. Draft Britt as your WR2, Wright as a WR3/4 and leave Hunter and Washington alone for now.

Miller is ranked as being the No. 3 outside linebacker inside 2014 class, and she's the No. 1 player within the state of South Carolina, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Keep in mind that Florida will be just fine, but losing this commitment continues to a loss for Can Muschamp and his employees. He would have ended up a talented player for ones Gators.

Miller is 6'4'', 215 excess fat, and he runs a good 4. 71 40-yard the dash diet, according to 247Sports. He's got the combination of size and speed that you look for in a third party linebacker, and he comes with great potential.

All that proclaimed, Florida's 2014 class stands from eight recruits, and it's still extremely early in the recruiting cycle.

The Gators always have defensive commitments out of 4-star defensive tackle Anthony Moten and additionally 3-star cornerback Duke Dawson, and they are in the running with regard to big defensive recruits such as 5-star defensive end Gerald Willis (top three), 4-star outside linebacker Dwight Williams (leader) and additionally 4-star defensive end Trent Harris (top four)

"I feel like I should review some schools that I might now have been allowed to seen earlier (on official visits), and also I must make sure I made the appropriate place for me and additionally my future, instead of simply for a specific coach or simply scheme, " Miller claimed.

That does not entail Will Muschamp and his staff can't regain the services for the standout pass rusher in the. Miller, who made 121 takes up, 14 sacks, 21 tackles for the loss and forced four fumbles as a junior, said he is considering all schools right now, making the Gators very much still in the blend.

For what it's worth though, Alabama and Tennessee are now listed as the two teams on Miller's 247Sports interest report.

Going back to the positives, Florida still contains the commitment of 5-star running back Dalvin Cook, along with offensively, the Gators are poised to create in a talented category. That should be even more exciting considering the sheltering haul from last bike.

This is without question a noteworthy decommitment, but feel free to watch for the future, as it truly is rather bright.

Stoke City should DEFINATELY rehire Tony Pulis - This is Staffordshire

Well, Stoke City's chances of having Rafael Benitez as their new manager are now very slim. According to Napoli's president, Benitez will be joining Napoli next season. This leaves a question to all Stoke City fans: "What now?"

Some Stoke City "fans" wanted Tony Pulis out, and their wish had come true. Most of them were delighted by the news, and then wanted the club to sign Rafael Benitez. The chances of it? Very slim. Very, very slim.

The WWPB campaign, (the founder of the #WeWantPulisBack and #RememberPulis hashtag on Twitter), has gained 22 followers since yesterday morning. This could be a sign that most fans want Pulis back, now that Benitez could be no longer available. Of course, beggars can't be choosers.

The WWPB have supported Tony Pulis from the minute he got sacked. The board decision to let him go was disgusting. He was a fantastic manager, keeping his team in the Premier League. There has been no relegation ever since the club were promoted. Many fans were complaining about the football being played by Stoke City was 'boring'. The board decision to aim the club into a 'new direction' will not get us to win the title. There is NO 'new direction' for Stoke City. Don't forget, we were originally in the Championship for 23 years!

Thisi is Dyson's smallest upright vacuum cleaner with the performance of a full size upright machine. The DC50i has Dyson's most advanced cleaner head technology and 2 Tier RadialTM cyclones.

So who's next for Stoke City's manager? Gus Poyet? Mark Hughes? Roberto di Matteo? Roberto Martinez? Well, here's something to keep in mind:

Tony Pulis had his second spell at Stoke City when he joined back in 2006. Two years later, he guided them to the Premier League. One year later, the club survived in the Premier League (being in mind that everybody said that we would go back down). Two more years later, Stoke got to Wembley to play the FA Cup semi-final (and the score was Stoke City 5-0 Bolton). A few weeks later, they returned to Wembley to play the FA Cup Final which they sadly lost. (However, they had the experience!) Another few weeks later, the club were in the Europa League. Many fans thought this wasn't an achievement by Tony Pulis, because the club was automatically were entered after the FA Cup final. However, Tony Pulis guided the club to the FA Cup final, and without that, the club would not have gone to Europa. Also, Stoke finished 2nd in Group E in the Europa League by winning 3 games, drawing 2 games, and losing 1 game. You cannot deny that Tony Pulis has not done well for the club. Even if you agree that he's done well, it is NOT time for a change. Stoke City were ORIGINALLY in the Championship for 23 years!

The WWPB's Twitter account has got a lot of support for Tony Pulis. Stoke City need to re-consider the sacking of Tony Pulis. Before its too late, rehire him. We have no manager, he has no job, bring him back - #WeWantPulisBack!

Sharks Fined $100, 000 designed for GM Doug Wilson's Reviews on Raffi Torres' Suspension.

The San Jose Sharks have been fined $100, 000 with the comments made by standard manager Doug Wilson about the suspension of forward Raffi Torres.

Torres was suspended for any remainder of their second-round series about the defending champion Los Angeles Kings after having a hit on Jarrett Stoll inside Game 1—something that Wilson was feeling was an overreaction by the league and simply consequence Torres' past decisions impacting his current punishment.

Upon review with the incident, it is abundantly clear that this was a clean baseball hit. Comparing the facts of this incident against the genuine wording of Rule 48. 1, it appears that NHL has not only made an inappropriate application of that rule but is trying to make an example out of a player who is judged on past events...

The general manager also went on to indicate that Torres has dramatically changed regarding penalty minutes this season, taking "only six trivial penalties in 39 games. "

This is, of course, after the forward has been suspended for 25 games last season from hit on Marian Hossa in the first round of the playoffs—a suspension which has been later reduced to twenty-one games and carried over into the start of the 2013 season.

However, the league didn't have the same way about Wilson's responses and were forced to fine the team as a consequence of timing and inappropriate nature for the remarks.

The fine was written for violation of Group Rules that prohibit formal team statements with the media during the 48-hour period using a disciplinary decision. The Rule necessitates an automatic fine with $25, 000. The Sharks were fined one additional $75, 000 under Article 6 with the League's Constitution as a consequence of inappropriate nature of a comments.

The fine comes with a frustrating time for that Sharks, who find on their own trailing, 2-0, in their second-round series against the Kings heading into Performance 3.

The Sharks squandered some 3-2 lead in Game 2 to reduce, 4-3, to the Kings and now have looked far from this team that swept the Vancouver Canucks within the first round.

Robert George Says He Choices Hibbert Played in Vital Game 1 OT Items.

LeBron James blew by Paul George for any game-winning layup in Game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, the help defense for any Indiana Pacers never turning up, Roy Hibbert sitting 25 feet away over the bench.

It was just about the most criticized moves of the adventure, Frank Vogel deciding to travel with Tyler Hansbrough over Hibbert with the final play.

Hansbrough, George, Donald West, George Hill and Sam Young were over the court for the participate in, and when LeBron got the best of George, the only person down low to aid out was the 6'6" Teen.

He definitely is smart, as the fleet-footed Hansbrough is often a better option than Hibbert to be able to chase Bosh around for a passing fancy possession, but you can't overcompensate in a team's third option the moment its first option is usually LeBron James.

Similarly, relating to the first go-ahead layup which LeBron hit in overtime, George was on the floor with Hill, Lance Stephenson, Young and West, Hibbert chilling in the bench.

The reaction from a lot of was utter shock which Vogel left Hibbert in the bench for those a few huge plays, especially since LeBron scored within the rim on both games.

Besides the desire for Hibbert to stay the game late, there would be one other big takeaway out of George's press conference.

Vitor Belfort Could Fight for Title Next but TRT Use Won't Determine Location

Vitor Belfort is stuck in the crosshairs of controversy surrounding his use of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but it doesn't mean he won't get the next shot at the UFC middleweight title.

Last weekend, Belfort knocked out former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold with a spectacular spinning heel kick, which marked his second head kick finish in a row.  The previous knockout was over top-five middleweight Michael Bisping, and it put Belfort back at the top of the division where he remains undefeated at 185 pounds outside of a lone loss to champion Anderson Silva.

The discussion surrounding Belfort's next fight hasn't started yet, but UFC President Dana White didn't rule out the possibility of a title shot against the winner of Silva and current top contender Chris Weidman at UFC 162.

"There's no plans right now with Vitor.  He just fought so we'll see what happens.  It would make sense for those two (Silva and Weidman) to fight and that's not far away, and then those two fight or Vitor could fight again," White said when speaking to the media on Thursday.  "He could fight either one of those guys."

The biggest question that continues to swirl around Belfort's involvement in a potential title fight is his continued use of TRT.  While the treatment is not illegal by any means, Belfort's 2006 suspension after testing positive for steroids still haunts the middleweight contender.

For Belfort to continue on his TRT treatments he must receive a therapeutic use exemption from whatever state commission his fight is taking place in, and because of his past steroid trouble it could cause an issue.

"Vitor doesn't want this, he's aggravated and pissed off about this stuff. He doesn't want his name to be smeared," White said about Belfort's TRT usage.  "I don't like TRT, I'm not a fan of it, I don't like it at all. I said a while ago these guys are going to be tested and Vitor was tested.  Vitor followed the rules and did what he was supposed to do."

As far as a location for the fight, White doesn't see Belfort having any trouble receiving his fight license, but a use exemption for TRT is another story all together.  White leaves that up to the commissions, but promises that the UFC isn't putting Belfort in places like Brazil where he is allowed to use TRT just so he can continue to fight while using the treatment.

"That's up to them.  They'll have to do a hearing or however they want to do it," White said about Belfort being approved by another commission.  "We're not keeping Vitor out of fighting from anywhere.  We had Vitor fight in Brazil because Vitor sells out in Brazil.  It's all a bunch of conspiracy, f—king crock of s—t."

Whether or not Belfort sits out to face the winner of Silva vs. Weidman remains to be seen.  Depending on who wins that fight and what kind of time off they will require after the early-July title bout could determine Belfort's next course of action.

Borg: 'Nadal is an artist!' From M. Thanks.

Despite the fact that he had his record of French Open titles stolen by the Spaniard last year, Björn Borg is fulsome in his praise of Rafael Nadal, who added a seventh crown to his incredible record last year. The Swede, a six-time winner in Paris, not only warmly congratulated Nadal on his seventh Roland Garros success but hopes that the Matador from Manacor will go on to win many more. And with Rafa having just bagged his 55th title at the ATP Masters 1000 in Madrid (and 40th on clay no less), he is in pole position according to Borg to make it eight triumphs at the Porte d'Auteuil in a few weeks' time. Yes, Borg is what you could call an unconditional Nadal fan…

Björn, what do you think of the Big Four (Djokovic, Federer, Murray and Nadal) who are currently dominating men's tennis?

First of all, I'd like to say that I'm delighted that Nadal is back, that he is playing again at last. He's a very important figure for tennis in general. He has a really strong personality and whatever he does, he creates a buzz around tennis just by coming on court. As for Roger, I hope that he'll be around for another few years. As far as I'm concerned, he is the greatest player of all time. Djokovic is the best player there is at the moment, and he's certainly proved that, and Murray's up there as well. The rivalry between these four guys is incredible, and it's exactly what tennis needs.

Nadal is currently 26 years old which is the age you were when you decided to give up tennis. And he looks like he is going to carry on smashing every clay-court record in existence…

He's incredible – he's is the best player that there has ever been on clay! Watching him play on this surface and how he is evolving… At least he's injured some of the time, which gives the others a ray of hope! On clay though, he's still the man to beat – and that will always be the case for as long as he is playing. We saw that at Monte Carlo and that's not going to change at Roland Garros, where it's best-of-five sets out on Centre Court! He's only ever lost there once, remember… There's no-one better than him on this surface! People don't realise this – maybe the public has been spoilt to a certain extent. Rafa's quite simply an artist when it comes to clay!

I'm not surprised that Nadal has managed a come-back like this. If he didn't have the motivation, he wouldn't have bothered coming back. He still wants to win and I reckon that he can win a few more Grand Slams – fingers crossed, health and fitness permitting. But he's a clever man and he been on the circuit for long enough now to know what he can and can't do. I repeat, he's the man to beat in Paris, and I'm really looking forward to watching him there. You can still see his hunger for victory. He's still enjoying it and having fun. And as I say, getting the better of him on clay is… well, complicated (laughs).

I was delighted for him. I know Rafa and I like him very much as a person. He really is a great guy, and I was the first to congratulate him! I hope he'll win many more, starting with his eighth French Open title this year! He's incredible, both as a player and a person.

I think it's extremely cool, my Freudian troubles aside. There's the Along with white House, the U. Vertisements. Capitol building and your Washington Monument. Which signifies, if it's anything enjoy what it depicts, that practically nothing will get done on two-thirds within the floor.

Nadal vs. Federer Italian Open 2013: Victory Sets Up Rafa for French Open Win

Rafael Nadal's smashing performance over Roger Federer in the Italian Open is just a prelude to the 2013 French Open.

The Rome Masters is now Nadal's third consecutive victory, his sixth this season, and he has reached the finals in every tournament. Talk about consistency; that alone gives him a favorable advantage entering Roland Garros.

Wiping Federer off the court, though, after doing to same to Tomas Berdych in Italy's semifinals is straight up impressive. Now factor in Nadal's dominance over the years at the French Open and there is every reason to expect he'll win it again.

So here we are on the brink of the French Open, and it sure looks like the same view we've had for every year but one since 2005 (Nadal is 52-1 at Roland Garros with seven titles in eight tries).

Although Noavk Djokovic took the victory over him in Monaco, Nadal has polished off his game quite well since. On the flip side, Djokovic and the rest of the top competition have not met expectations by comparison and enter France desperately needing to respond.

On Monday, Nadal leap-frogged fellow countryman David Ferrer for the No. 4 ranking on ATPWorldTour.com. Federer slid ahead of Andy Murray into the No. 2 spot, while Djokovic still holds true at No. 1.

That said, Federer's increase can also be attributed to Murray's withdrawal from the Italian Open in Round 2. As a result, Murray may miss this year's Roland Garros. According to BBC Sport, Murray's mother Judy commented on the situation:

"It's not so easy on the clay. There is a lot more twisting and turning. He needs to be cautious and I'm sure Wimbledon will be his priority."

Murray's potential absence would only make things easier for Nadal. And after dismantling Federer for another clay-court victory, Djokovic remains the best of competition by a wide margin.

Regardless of who Nadal faces, though, that challenger will be at a disadvantage. Nadal is simply rolling right now and everything is pointing toward another French Open title.

Having won it three straight seasons, taking a fourth consecutive title will vault him higher into the rankings. That would make things extremely interesting with Wimbledon on deck.

Tim Tebow Receives Support from Chuck Norris

In one of the most ringing endorsements imaginable, polarizing free-agent quarterback Tim Tebow has received the support of legendary martial artist Chuck Norris in his pursuit of finding a job in the NFL next season.

In a column written for NewsBusters, Norris talks about Tebow's skill and how the enigmatic QB reminds him of himself when he was competing in martial arts:

Tebow is a player who rises to the occasion and delivers big in critical moments. He reminds me of myself when I used to compete in martial arts…I would spar with my black belts in class, and sometimes they would outscore me. Yet in the tournaments, I would defeat them. My students used to ask me, 'Why is it that we can contend equally against you in class but can't beat you in the tournaments?' My answer was always the same: 'When it counts, I rise to the occasion.'

As we saw during Tebow's dream regular season and playoff run with the Denver Broncos in 2011, the QB isn't the sharpest passer and his mechanics are far from perfect, but he performs above his ability in clutch situations.

All he needs is the proper opportunity, and Norris believes that should come with the Jacksonville Jaguars, going as far as calling out owner Shad Khan and using Martin Luther King, Jr. quotes to convince him the QB is worth an investment:

So let me respectfully challenge Khan to consider these words from Dr. King: 'There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe nor politic nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right.'

Norris is one of the most famous martial artists in history, and his mainstream television and movie work—along with the countless Chuck Norris jokes that have flooded the internet over the years—makes him one of the most marquee names to support Tebow.

This is not the first time Norris has come to the aid of athletes in need either, as he was portrayed as a huge advocate for Average Joe's gym (the team equivalent of Tim Tebow) in the movie DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story:

After being mistreated by the New York Jets last season and now being blackballed by teams across the league thus far this offseason, Norris is voicing his opinion that the talented QB deserves a chance to play for another team in the NFL.

Norris may not be an authority when it comes to football, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that Tebow wins games in the clutch and rises to the occasion.

If there was ever a single player that defined the Chuck Norris spirit in the NFL it would have to be Tebow. With the same hard work, determination and attitude, Norris' support of Tebow is something everyone should note.

New york Football: Discipline Will Be Key for the Gators in 2013.

In the event the Florida Gators want a season as flourishing as their 2012 strategy, they will have to improve in a variety of areas.

Jeff Driskel's effectiveness at quarterback, a lack of depth at wide beneficiary, a brutal SEC schedule and key losses with defense are all being considered possible trouble spots. The Gators have to overcome these obstacles so that they can remain competitive.

You can certainly pin a portion of the blame on Will Muschamp and his staff for any Gators' offensive woes during the entire season and poor performance inside the Sugar Bowl. However, they have repeatedly been forced to face an avalanche of pricey penalties on both sides in the ball.

Since the 2009 season, the Gators' average of penalty yards per online game has risen every twelve months. Last season's average of 68. 8 yards proclaimed a 9. 3-yard hop from that of 2011.

This makes their 2012 BCS run seem all the more remarkable. Their defensive unit needed repeatedly follow up stalled unpleasant drives with momentum-shifting series for you to turn tight games inside their favor. Without this results, they could have easily lost three or maybe more games during the regular season.

That brings us to the current season. With so many departures in the defensive side of this ball, the Gators must score more points around 2013 to continually stay competitive. This cannot happen in the event that holding violations and fake starts repeatedly put Driskel and the offense in a consumption.

Likewise, Florida cannot afford to provide away extra points to opponents to the heels of silly personal fouls as well as other defensive violations.

Last year, we saw the Gators at the most beautiful when the flow of the game was relatively quick. They would get within a rhythm, and one big play would follow another.

Driskel is obviously under enough pressure presently. He doesn't need to handle 3rd-and-longs that resulted because of undisciplined penalties. Furthermore, his receivers should don't have to feel like they have to make a huge downfield play simply move the chains.

Eventually, Muschamp and Brent Pease have to believe that the entire playbook can be available for use. They won't afford to protect Driskel with safe passes and hand-offs upon third down.

Yes, they need to be able to play better football together with make more plays. However, they also need to stop inflicting wounds upon them selves.

When they prove that they do this, more and more people will begin to recognize them as the best national contender.

Curtis Granderson running by Yankees.

THE BIG APPLE (AP) — Outfielder Curtis Granderson became the main of the New York Yankees' injured stars to return to the lineup, rejoining this team 2½ months after breaking his right forearm around his first at-bat with spring training.

Granderson was activated in the disabled list and set to play left field and bat cleanup Tuesday night against Seattle. Not the easiest day for him an extra shot, either: Ace Felix Hernandez started with the Mariners.

Granderson took no longer chances with future bone injuries, planning to wear a great elbow guard and extra protection the top of his hand.

Nonetheless sidelined are shortstop Derek Jeter, primary baseman Mark Teixeira together with third baseman Alex Rodriguez. The All-Stars haven't played this year and while Teixeira may just be back within a 4 weeks, Jeter and A-Rod are inclined out until the next half.

Infielders Kevin Youkilis along with Eduardo Nunez and catcher Francisco Cervelli are additionally on the disabled list after getting hurt over the season.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi thought Granderson will offer a boost to a team who has overcome injuries and held first put in place the AL East.

Brett Gardner was listed in center arena, with Ichiro Suzuki within right and Vernon Wells — who was simply stationed in left — from designated hitter. Girardi didn't anticipate trouble to locate playing time for absolutely everyone.

"Spread it around slightly, " Girardi said. "You can't expect Grandy going seven or eight days within a row right straight from the chute. "

A centre fielder for virtually her entire career, Granderson said he'd need to adjust to the lighting while inside left. He played just about all three outfield spots in his five-game rehabilitation at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

New York optioned left-hander Vidal Nuno to be able to Triple-A, a day after he beat Cleveland in his first major little league start.

Granderson was 8 to get 20 with one homer along with three RBIs during his rehab at Triple-A. He or she also played several mmorpgs in extended spring exercise.

The slugger, who led Nyc with 43 homers very last season, broke his arm the moment he was hit with a pitch from Toronto's N. A. Happ on Feb. 24. The three-time All-Star originally had hoped to be ready to play in the first week of May possibly.

Jeter (broken eventually left ankle), Rodriguez (left hip surgery), Teixeira (torn tendon sheath in his appropriate wrist), Youkilis (lumbar back sprain), Cervelli (broken right hand) and Nunez (soreness on left side) remain on the DL.

Nuno hadn't pitched for almost two weeks before earning the win in Cleveland. He said his stick with the Yankees was a valuable one.

NOTES: DH Travis Hafner was straight from the Yankees' lineup because of a sore right shoulder that is bothering him. Girardi said Hafner might an MRI a purchase a couple days off being a precaution.

How Cavaliers Selecting Otto Porter at No. 1 Would Change 2013 NBA Draft

Just about everyone has the Cleveland Cavaliers selecting Kentucky's Nerlens Noel with the top pick in the 2013 NBA draft, but if there's any truth to the rumor that they're actually interested in Otto Porter, the resultant ripple effect could really shake up the rest of the top picks.

But there is a possibility that Porter, arguably the most NBA-ready player among the top prospects, might not be around when the Wizards pick third. A source with knowledge of the Cavaliers' thinking said Porter is under consideration to go No. 1.

It's actually pretty reasonable for the Cavaliers to be looking at options beyond Noel. The lanky big man is coming off a torn ACL and might have trouble bulking up enough to be the dominant interior force some think he'll eventually become.

Plus, Porter fills an obvious need for Cleveland on the wing. With a backcourt of Dion Waiters and Kyrie Irving set in stone and a pair of solid bigs in Anderson Varejao and Tristan Thompson, Porter could fit nicely into the mix as a small forward with a smooth mid-range game.

The lanky wing averaged 16.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists during his sophomore campaign with the Georgetown Hoyas. More impressively, he earned some major praise from a rival head coach:

It's still very early in the process and it's key to note that teams put out smoke screens like this all the time. This could simply be the Cavaliers' effort to seem unpredictable. After all, there's no advantage to letting every other team know what they really want to do with their No. 1 pick.

But just for the sake of argument, let's assume Lee's source is legitimate and the Cavs really are looking at Porter. If that's actually the case, there could be some interesting changes throughout the draft's remaining lottery picks.

For starters, the Orlando Magic would be stuck wondering whether they could shoehorn Noel into their frontcourt mix. The Magic have a promising big-man tandem in Nikola Vucevic and Andrew Nicholson, but they'd have to at least be tempted to take a look at Noel. Ben McLemore or Trey Burke certainly appear to be the better fits in Orlando, but the Magic might not be able to pass on Noel's talent.

Assuming the Magic can restrain themselves, Noel would slip to the Wizards, who already have a whole lot of money tied up between Emeka Okafor and Nene (more than $27 million in 2013-14 combined) in the frontcourt. So they might also look to fill a need on the wing, perhaps reaching for Shabazz Muhammad or the tantalizing Anthony Bennett.

The Wizards would really like to just take Porter, who played his college ball in their backyard, and be done with it. But if they can't have the small forward they really want, they'll be stuck between choosing from among less impressive replacements or picking Noel and hoping he's good enough to force them to offload one of their high-priced veteran bigs.

With Bradley Beal and John Wall set at the guard positions, there's no way the Wizards even look twice at Burke or McLemore.

So by the time the Bobcats get a chance to pick, it's likely that one of either Burke or McLemore will be available along with Noel.

If Noel somehow dropped past the Wizards and McLemore was also still available, there's a good chance that the projected No. 1 pick could fall even further. The Charlotte Bobcats are in desperate need of young talent up front (and everywhere, really), so you'd think they'd be ready to pounce on Noel if he were available.

But McLemore might be the safer pick and would fit in nicely alongside Kemba Walker, who showed some steady growth during the 2012-13 season.

The slippage for Noel might not stop there, either. Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated has the Bobcats taking Victor Oladipo at No. 4, so if Noel and McLemore both become available to the Phoenix Suns, it's possible that they'd opt to take the Kansas guard ahead of the Kentucky center. Mannix points out that the Suns are bad enough that they need to take the best player on the board.

At No. 6, the New Orleans Pelicans are set up front with last year's top pick, Anthony Davis, and Robin Lopez. So they're not a guarantee to grab Noel either.

We have to stop here, though, as the Sacramento Kings have proved that they have no idea what they're doing and are basically impossible to predict. Let's just hope for Noel's sake that he's off the board by the time the Kings are selecting at No. 7.

Hey, we're piling speculation on top of speculation here to try to project how a potential surprise selection of Porter could affect the rest of the first round, but really, nobody knows yet what's going to happen.

Keep in mind, though, that if the Cavs really do forego Noel for Porter at the top spot, there really could be some far-reaching consequences—especially for Noel.

Moron Gives you Himself A Steeler’s Logo Tattoo By Writing “Steeers” On His Leg.

Initially, it would appear that the guy forgot to put your second -e in "Steelers". It then looks like he snuck this in, only to hide the only -L. Also, he's changing from upper to lessen case back to top case, which I'm pretty sure isn't perhaps the design. And the font is more on the "Arial Bold" than "Drunk To begin with Grader". And the -S shouldn't be described as a musical note. That appearing said, there aren't worth it reasons to give one self a tattoo (unless you're bored to tears and in prison). - Do I possess a tattoo gun? - Am I travelling to poison myself with this particular homemade ink? - Did I find the location on my body which will drastically compromise my pulling capabilities? - Am I actually writing words? If which means that, how are they spelled?

That's the application. Triple check the punctuational, especially when your power team plays in Pitsberg Pittsberg Pittsburg Pittsburgh. Fallon Sibel Laments on Victory across Allanna Jones, Haters along with Unique Submission.

After 8 weeks of controversy, and national headlines prior to Friday's CFA 11 co-main happening at Bank United Centre in Coral Gables, Fla., transgender fighter Fallon Fox finally got a chance to fight an opponent compared to harsh criticism.

She defeated Allanna Jones via submission using a modified North-South choke, riding her shin around Jones' throat to force the tap for the 1: 26 mark within the third round, advancing for the women's 145-pound tournament final.

Fox landed some superior leg strikes early and additionally scored some takedowns during the entire three-round contest. Jones confirmed she was an evenly matched opponent as she avoided any big punches early, worked some offense because of her guard on a few armbar attempts and stuffed several of Fox's takedowns.

The Chicago-based fighter's takedowns proved to be the difference in that fight. After her very last takedown, Fox avoided a particular armbar attempt, passed Jones' guard and secured an advantageous spot before ending Jones' night together with the unique submission.

This was the toughest test to date for the polarizing fighter. The cries of Sibel having an unfair edge over her opponents have now moved about the sentiment that she isn't this deft of skill (according to Twitter) and ought to greatly improve.

"It's really funny huh? That's attractive hilarious, " Fox instructed Bleacher Report, when asked within the criticism after the struggle.

Perhaps if the 37-year-old Monk dispatched Jones as quickly as the 36 seconds it procured her to defeat Ericka Newsome within her last fight, the critics could be singing a different tune. Haters are going to be able to hate, according to Sibel.

"It's all just out of haters, " Fox stated for the backlash on her competency. "The ones who hated me originally are going to say that had an unfair benefits, and then when My partner and i go three rounds along with someone and win as a result of submission it's hey each of the sudden…I was pretty sure that would happen. "

Allanna Jones fired the first salvo of the evening, walking out to Aerosmith's "Dude looks like a lady. " Fox's entrance was met using a cascade of boos. Fox would ultimately include the last laugh, as she earned the victory with the crafty submission finish while in front of over 2, 000 supporters in attendance.

Could the submission within the fighter nicknamed "The Full of Swords" earn a moniker of its own? Maybe it should end up called "The Fox"? Less than fast, the 3-0 fighter explained. She learned that distribution by studying a veteran women's fighter by having a high-level grappling background.

"I'll give credit to Shayna Bazler for that one, to be fair, " admitted Fox. "I saw that in a single of her matches on one occasion and I was mastering it and I've been looking to pull it off, and I finally did. It's pretty awesome we got to pull it off from this fight. "

Going into the third round for the first time seems to have quieted the discussion of if He has any clear unfair physical advantage over a lot of women fighters. If anything, these have helped her case to come.

"Clearly, clearly, if I go can drive to the third round, of study course, " Fox said convincingly. "I accept as true with you on that. "

Fox will face Ashley Evans-Smith with the CFA women's 145-pound tournament final, the winner calls for home $20, 000. To start a date has yet to end up announced.

Italian language Open Tennis 2013: Dark-Horse Contenders to watch after for in 3rd Round of golf.

Players like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will be in Rome this week for the Italian Open, making one last efforts to fine tune their games and prepare themselves for any season's second Slam in Roland Garros, which many consider to become the most grueling within the four majors.

While it's no strategy that those three high flyers are heavy favorites to get the crown in Paris on Sunday, there are a small number of dark-horse contenders tennis fans should look for heading into Thursday's third-round action.

Kevin Anderson, a giant, 6'8" South African needed out Jurgen Melzer easily within the first round and then knocked journey 11th-seeded Marin Cilic inside second round thanks to your spectacular performance in the other set tiebreaker.

Anderson won a great 75 percent of your partner's first-serve points against Cilic, recording 13 aces together with saving all six involving Cilic's break-point chances within the straight-set victory.

The 26-year-old will are up against off against sixth-seeded Tomas Berdych in the third round on Thurs ., who he lost some sort of hard-fought third-round match to in Madrid yesterday morning.

But despite Berdych's excessive ranking, he's certainly beatable at clay. Before making a deep cost the semifinals in Madrid a while back, Berdych bowed out inside the third round of the Barcelona Open and Monte Carlo in April.

If Anderson, who finished as runner-up to the clay at the Large Prix Hassan II around Morocco last month, can carry on and put powerful first serves on the box, there's no reason to believe he can't upend Berdych and potentially setup a quarterfinal clash along with top-seeded Novak Djokovic with Friday.

Frenchman Jeremy Chardy lucked available as Andy Murray had been forced to retire in the second round at that Italian Open on Wednesday, setting up a third-round matchup along with doubles star Marcel Granollers in its place.

Chardy has taken three-of-four singles agrees with against Granollers, and beat him in the two players' only clay court meeting the government financial aid 2008.

The 26-year-old Chardy is phenomenal in his second-round enlighten 16th-seeded Kei Nishikori, profitable 75 percent of this first-serve points, recording six aces together with dropping just five games inside the straight-set thrashing.

If Chardy will have past Granollers on Thurs, then he'll take on the winner of Juan Martin del Potro vs. Benoit Paire inside quarterfinals on Friday. Consider, Chardy upset Delpo with the third round of that 2013 Australian Open last January to arrive at his first ever quarterfinal with a Grand Slam.

Twenty-two-year-old Polish player Jerzy Janowicz is playing with a ton of confidence in Rome this may occasionally. And after stunning eighth-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga within the second round on Wednesday, the 6'8" Janowicz can battle ninth-seeded Richard Gasquet at Thursday.

Gasquet has searched vulnerable recently, however. He was upset with the second round at the Madrid Open last week and was upended as a result of unseeded Fabio Fognini around Monte Carlo last thirty day period.

If Janowicz can manage Gasquet on the German clay on Thursday, there could good chance second-seeded Roger Federer could be waiting for him inside the quarterfinals on Friday.

After reaching the final round of the Australian Open last January and additionally beating Tsonga on Sunday, confidence won't be a huge concern for Janowicz in the final round in Rome. He's serving well in addition to definitely making enough plays within the return game to play his way within the weekend at the Italian language Open.

Wisconsin Football: Ranking the 5 Best Offensive Weapons for the Badgers

We're making two assumptions with the selection of the No. 4 offensive weapon for the Badgers—Joel Stave will beat out Curt Phillips, and he will be able to hold off junior college recruit Tanner McEvoy this summer.

Regardless of who wins the job come the start of the season, they would likely fall into this slot. While McEvoy appears to offer the Badgers the best dual-threat option under center, there are still plenty of questions regarding how he will perform at the FBS level.

We've seen what Stave can do, and had he avoided a broken collarbone in late October last season, there would be little doubt that he would be the starting quarterback in 2013. His performance in the spring game indicated that he would be a better fit than sixth-year senior Curt Phillips despite lacking the mobility Andersen would like to see at quarterback.

Last season, Stave completed 58.8 percent of his passes for 1,104 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions, and Wisconsin won every game that he completed. He possesses a big arm, has a calming influence on the offense and simply knows how to find a way to win.

State: Beckford talks hit standstill.

It appeared like the transfer discussions to get Jermaine Beckford between Bolton Wanderers together with Leicester City were moving within weeks. Just under two one month ago, the two clubs had opened talks together with a day later, the £1 million selling price for Beckford emerged. Right now, a report from that Leicester Mercury says that this two clubs are way apart inside their valuations of the player.

Beckford moved to Leicester City early on of the 2011/12 period, following a year at Everton, for a reported fee of £2. 5 thousand thousand. Since then, he had essentially been deemed surplus to requirements for the Foxes and it sounds as if manager Nigel Pearson is determined to move him in. Dougie Freedman appears to get keen on the striker but is looking for a cut price proceed. That is where the £1 million fee can be purchased in.

According the the Mercury file, Bolton Wanderers are looking for a lower fee as compared to that with Leicester seeking to cut their losses by as small a margin as they can. As such, talks tend to be a deadlock.

There are other players in the mix for Beckford, which include, but not limited to help, his old teams Leeds Usa and Huddersfield Town

Scouting report: Find out all about Manchester City target Diego Novaretti - Mirror.co.uk

Diego Novaretti, who has been strongly linked to Manchester City, has emerged as one of the Mexico Liga MX's top central defenders.

That's high praise indeed given he's playing in a country that has excelled in producing local talent for that very position.

The league that has produced Rafael Marquez, Hector Moreno and newly-appointed Porto signing Diego Reyes can certainly take credit for the development of the Argentine centre back.

The 27-year-old Argentine is an unquestioned leader in the back as well as an aerial threat on set pieces having notched 10 goals since arriving from Argentina's Belgrano in 2009.

Physically speaking, he is definitely a player who is built for the rigors of the Premier League, and to deal with tough, speedy strikers whom he would normally not encounter in the more technical Mexican league.

Fairly quick for a man his 6'4" frame, Novaretti is a rough and tumble defender who is not afraid to use his body to break up attacks.

Novaretti has picked up eight red cards for Toluca and is often at risk of suspension due to a penchant for accumulating yellow cards and it is fair to say there is nothing subtle about his tackling.

Despite an early exit from the 2013 Copa Libertadores, the Argentine was a force in the back for Toluca and displayed the type of play that warrants attention from European clubs.

Though in these post-Chicharito days it is still a shock to see a player move directly from the Liga MX to one of the world's top clubs, City fans could be pleasantly surprised with Novaretti if given a chance to crack into their back line rotation.

The emergence of fellow Argentine Jose Maria Basanta for Monterrey and his selection to the national team has definitely raised some eyebrows, but serves as a reminder to South America and Europe that the talent level in the Mexican league is steadily growing.

Today, after 13 sturdy seasons, Brian Urlacher decided it was eventually enough. The linebacker spent the offseason interested in teams to go enjoy for, but couldn't get hold of inked.

Michigan The game Reviews.

Here's an updated number of Michigan courses I get played and reviewed. Around this point, I've done fifty one reviews (perhaps more, but I can't find them on my own site), with another twenty still to travel. I've taken notes together with photos on every course I've played equip me to write the review at a later date.

Reviews are based on my impressions for the course on the day(s) As i played, and it really should be noted that conditions and every so often even the layout may have changed since I enjoyed.

All of the Michigan the game reviews are from the perspective on the bogey golfer, and I place reduced on fun. I love courses that you think a little, and that don't understand they can count solely on length because of their defense. Also important to me is to be able to walk the course. I've noted few courses where walking to be real not practical. Too regularly, I believe, courses ban walking to add extra profits from that carts. Finally, I try to look for value. That Daily Yam: Pavel Datsyuk Dismissed A Killer Wrist Strike Past Corey Crawford.

Welcome to your Daily Yam, bringing anyone Yesterday's Action Moment, anything else maybe you have missed, and what to enjoy today. It's your one-stop shop after you skipped last night's actions, or have forgotten what day it is. Last night forward Pavel Datsyuk improved the Red Wings receive a 2-1 series lead relating to the Blackhawks with a dangerous wrister that made goalie Corey Crawford check foolish.

Coming into that series, Crawford had some sort of 1. 27 goals against average with the postseason, which is to imply he has played certainly. But not even a superb goalie — perhaps not even a great goalie — could have stopped this twisted wrister (ouch sorry I know I know):

I don't think I've ever before seen a puck jump in and out from the goal that fast — and additionally I've seen over seven hockey games this coming year alone.

The Knicks continued so that you can sit at home in the dark and think about ones own mistakes; the Indians had an awesome comeback win capped by the walkoff three-run homer resistant to the Mariners, 10-8; the Yankees also came back to win in accessories, beating the Orioles 6-4 because of Travis Hafner's late heroics.

The NBA returns with Game 2 for the Spurs-Grizzlies series, 9 p. m. ET; Bruins-Rangers at 7: 30 p. t. ET; Kings-Sharks at 10 r. m. ET.

Euopean Tour Chief Executive: ‘Many Of Sergio Garcia’s Friends Are Colored.’ D’oh! You’re Not Helping!

Aren't the guys in the suits supposed to be the ones who say all the right things? Not in the European Golf Tour, where its chief executive, George O'Grady (pictured, far left), enmeshed himself in the Tiger Woods-Sergio Garcia feud in a most embarrassing way.

Garcia of course went overboard on Tuesday, saying that if he served Tiger Woods dinner it would be "fried chicken." Many consider that a racist remark, and Garcia apologized, twice. Lots of folks figured that might finally end their feud (which dates to 1999), but apparently they were wrong.

The European Tour has decided not to punish Garcia for the fried chicken remark, which he made at the European Tour Awards Dinner in London. That left O'Grady open to charges that the Tour was being too cozy with Garcia. In a statement denying this, O'Grady made things worse. Key excerpt:

"We know the connotation in the United States. We accept all races on the European Tour, we take it very strongly. Most of Sergio's friends are coloured athletes in the United States and he is absolutely abject in his apology and we accepted it."

O'Grady later apologised for using the term "coloured", saying: "I deeply regret using an inappropriate word in a live interview for Sky Sports for which I unreservedly apologise."

So He dislikes black and white people RT @sbnation "Most of Sergio's friends are colored" EuroTour chf George O'Grady sbn.to/14CPlNk

That's the problem when you have a controversy that reaches across oceans and spans different cultures and sensibilities. Garcia is Spanish, and was speaking in Britain about an American golfer who has roots in the U.S. and Thailand. That's a lot of different opportunities to screw up. But O'Grady is paid to negotiate that landscape. He should know better.

The Top 5 Things The Knicks Need To Address This Offseason

Last night, the New York Knicks concluded their best season in 13 years with a gutsy effort against the living matchup-conundrum that is The Indiana Pacers. Despite unacceptably sub-par performances from Raymond Felton, Tyson Chandler, J.R. Smith, and Jason Kidd, they managed to grab the lead during the late 3rd early 4th quarter and entertain the idea of bringing the series to yet another Game 7. If nothing else, it was fun to watch and a nice break from the bricklaying contests of the previous few games.

Nothing is worse than playing beyond your means (unless you win a championship). Professional sports are littered with examples illustrating how a few lucky bounces in the short term can derail a franchise in the long term. As a lifelong Knick fan, I point to Allen Houston, whose 1999 tear drop against the one seed Miami Heat propelled the Knicks to one of the biggest upsets in NBA history, ultimately sending them to The Finals, and the poor house.

For 10+ seasons, the Knicks fought off the ghosts of this contract. Was a 4-1 series thrashing by the vastly superior Spurs, who were on the cusp of a dynasty, worth it? Of course not. That's why the Knicks getting ousted by The Pacers, in the fashion they did, is just what the doctor ordered, because it exposed the inherent weaknesses of this team. No lucky bounces. No J.R. Smith 20 point 4th quarters. Just mediocre team basketball.

1)Long perimeter defender. If you noticed over the series how inept The Knicks on-ball defense was vis á vis Indiana's, it's because Indiana has long perimeter defenders and New York doesn't. George Hill has a ridiculous 6'9″ wingspan. Paul George is 6'9″ with a wingspan of 7 feet. Hell, David West can defend big three-guards and small forwards and has an insane 7'4″ wingspan and he's 6'9″ as well. All strong, laterally quick players with defensive brains. The Knicks need to upgrade their guards with an eye on these type of attributes, because all series The Pacers out rebounded them, got in passing lanes, and contested every single shot.

2)Viable offensive post player. Unfortunately, they have two more years left on Amar'e's contract, so a big signing here is next to impossible. But as we saw with Kenyon Martin — you don't have to make a big splash to get in the pool. The Knicks need a legitimate big with literally one post move to diversify their scoring (sorry Tyson, tipping balls out to half court doesn't count). It can't be all fade aways and circus shots. A high percentage baby hook from the block is worth it's weight in gold, as it prevents defensive centers like Roy Hibbert from wandering around the paint and blocking Carmelo Anthony's dunk attempts.

3)Crafty passing PG. A lot of these suggestions are ubiquitous needs — partly because they're hard to find. Every team wants a crafty passing PG. The Knicks, who struggle with ball movement, need one. Badly. Raymond Felton is about as far from a decent passing point guard as NBA PGs get (see: his patented drive, turn, start fast break from the other team method). This actualizes Tyson Chandler's potential and keeps everyone awake in a inevitably isolation-centric offense.

4)No more J.R. Smith. I love J.R. Smith. He's awesome. Both on and off the court. But much like your best friend from your freshman year of college, J.R. smokes pot in your dorm room when you're not there (he's not even your roommate!). Some players dramatically change the development of young players, and J.R. and Iman Shumpert party together. That's gotta stop. NBA teams do the same thing with Zach Randolph, because he's an animal and corrupts younger guys (apparently he sells weed). J.R. has a ton of potential, but mentally, he's not qualified to wield it with enough reliability. Develop Shumpert to be his successor and ditch the pipe-master. Rihanna has suggested he's an alcoholic. His ups and downs and posts on Twitter and Instagram corroborate this. Sorry, but he's gotta go. For a veteran team, the 2013 Knicks were incredibly immmature (whined at 99% of calls). Cut out the frat boys and build the team with solid people — not work/release projects.

5)Get younger. Plain an simple. Jason Kidd came out of the gate shooting +50% from three, and finished the season without scoring in his final 10 games. He did not score in the month of May. Dole the veteran leadership responsibilities to Tyson Chandler and Carmelo and fill Kidd's spot with an athletic draft pick.

Chris Jones Petition was started by a guy who later made his living wearing a watermelon on his head at sporting events. Life is one long joke.

Ethan Strauss I don't know if Melo's clutch, but I know that his D makes guys like Lance Stephenson look really clutch.

No-Brainer Adjustments for Every Struggling NHL Playoff Team

Ottawa's roster is brimming with a bevvy of young promising players. Without their contributions, the Senators wouldn't have sniffed the postseason.

But when the spotlight grows brighter, it's time for the big boys to step up. That hasn't been the case for Ottawa through two games against Pittsburgh in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Goalie Craig Anderson was sensational against Montreal in the opening round but he has suddenly hit a rough patch versus the top-seeded Penguins. The NHL regular-season leader in save percentage and goals-against average didn't even make it to the final horn of a Game 2 defeat.

Anderson allowed three goals on 21 shot attempts in Pittsburgh before being pulled from the game. He surrendered four scores in Game 1.

Meanwhile, reigning Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson continues to struggle since returning from an Achilles injury. He carried a minus-2 rating in Game 2 and picked up more penalties than shots and hits combined.

Manchester City 2-1 West Ham: Aguero and Yaya Toure secure slim win - Aol! Activities

Birmingham -- Manchester CityAresponded to shedding its Premier League title with an appropriate 2-1 victory over West Ham. Sergio Aguero struck in the 28th moment in order to complete a sweeping City shift and Yaya Toure completed an easy gain eight minutes from time with a sensational left-footed hit into the top corner. West Ham got a target straight back with their first real test of the fit in the last second added time when Andy Carroll's strike squirmed through the legs of City goalkeeper Joe Hart - however the guests had no time left to press for an impossible equalizer. After bitter rivals the league title was won by Manchester United on Monday, the environment was clearly smooth at the Etihad Stadium - but City completely dominated the overall game against a West Ham side that provided virtually no approaching threat. Probably the most critical aspect of the afternoon was the constant support from the home supporters in support of under-pressure manager Roberto Mancini as the Italian faces concerns following City's tame make an effort to retain the concept it won this past year. Changes were made three by city to the side that lost at Tottenham last time out, with Joleon Lescott changing Matija Nastasic at center back, while David Silva and Sergio Aguero delivered from injury as James Milner and Edin Dzeko dropped to the counter. West Ham director Sam Allardyce made no changes to the team that were only available in their conquer Wigan last Saturday. The early exchanges betrayed two sides with nothing left to perform for this season with City perfectly in 2nd devote the table and West Ham set for a mid-table end. In the 22nd moment, the initial real possibility of the overall game fell to Aguero after David Silvaas cross deflected off Kevin Nolan. The Argentine, but, mishit his chance from 12 yards and the ball bounced back off the post. A fine tribute was given by all sides of the ground to former City player Marc-Vivien Foe while they suggested and chanted his name to mark the 10th anniversary of his death, as the clock struck 23 minutes. It seemed to lift the atmosphere and in the moment City took the lead. Samir Nasri and David Silva combined with a lovely one-two in the West Ham field prior to the Frenchman squared for Aguero to turn the ball in from six yards. Their advantage was nearly doubled by the hosts immediately, but Nasrias strike was kept out by Jussi Jaaskelainen before responding quickly to reject Zabaleta as the City full-back looked to show in the jump. They sent for the support of a second goal after the break, after City lost from a profitable situation against Tottenham last week-end but were denied by some last-ditch defending from West Ham. Aguero was denied with a block from Winston Reid, Nasri can just shoot right at Jaaskelainen from a limited angle and then totally missed the ball after Tevez squared along the six-yard box. In the 83rd second, Toure made certain that there will be no way back for West Ham with a wonderful goal. The Ivorian picked the ball up on the right side of the penalty area and launched an incredible left-footed shot in to the top place. Carroll then fired in a late consolation for the visitors in the next minute of added time as his right-footed shot experienced Hart's legs but there was no time left for a dramatic finale. The state of michigan Football: Wolverines Have Strike with 2014 5-Stars Dark, Jones, Jackson.

While the Wolverines rake inside premier athlete after top-quality athlete, key targets remain who could strengthen a already healthy and tougher 2014 recruiting haul.

The well known items biggies are Woodbridge, Veterans administration. 5-star defensive end Da'Shawn Grip and Paramus Catholic 5-star corner Jabrill Peppers. If a 6-star ranking was potential, they'd have one from Rivals, Scout, 247Sports and some other prep-talent evaluating service in the Web—that you can choose to adopt the bank.

Should the Wolverines hold the fortune of landing Grip, a behemoth 6'5", 247-pound man-child, and additionally Peppers, a 6'1", 205-pound conceivable Charles Woodson-in-the-making, Hoke's 2014 collection would almost certainly be the No. 1 with the land—it's No. 5 at this moment, according to 247Sports. com—and quite possibly the best-ever Michigan class since the inception of the wonderfully entertaining mechanisms for rating prep stars.

But let's say that Hand and Peppers choose some other schools—they both have loads options, so thinking about them choosing a program other than Michigan ought to be in the minds of every Wolverines recruiting follower—next year's grocery store bag of eliteness won't be short in the goods.

And that's not with the players who have definitely given their pledges to your Maize and Blue—it's with the ones out there in pick-a-school limbo who will commit to Michigan in the coming months.

From 6'5" and 290 fat, he's near-perfect in terms of size to a single day fill the void at left tackle. He's forecast by 247Sports' Steven Lorenz so that you can roll the dice using Ohio State. But Sibel Sports Next's Allen Trieu thinks differently.

Trieu was a guest Tuesday to the HUGE Show, a preferred syndicated program in Mich. While talking with invitee host Sam Webb, this Detroit News' Wolverines little league beat writer, Trieu stated which he felt Jones would get Michigan State.

Why? Trieu just had even a feeling. He didn't elaborate substantially, other than saying of which Jones likes the Spartans.

For starters, one of his schoolmates has now chosen the Spartans: Alvin Ellis, a 3-star rated guard, is joining Tom Izzo's basketball team this coming year. Perhaps that could influence Jones, who most likely is familiar with Ellis.

After all, they will attended school together. They're athletes, and as we all know, athletes tend to keep company with other athletes.

Ellis' decision may have zero bearing on no matter whether Jones does or doesn't choose Michigan State—or Michigan, for that matter.

Jones visited Michigan concerning April 4. The famous thought, at least upon Twitter, is that Jones favors the Buckeyes. So in that respect there goes the Ellis-Spartans theory…for today.

But as we've seen all this time, those predictions don't always arrived at fruition; they're educated guesses. They're probably pretty accurate right at that moment made, but high school teenagers are so finicky these days. The slightest whisper may possibly change a decision right away.

And that's why Jackson, a 5'11", 185-pound, 5-star valuable corner/defensive back could use his interest more to Michigan's direction.

Wolverines tight ends coach and special teams advisor Dan Ferrigno is to the trail for Jackson, whois a No. 3-ranked corner of 2014 consistent with 247Sports calculations.

Here's exactly why: Ferrigno was almost entirely given the task of landing Drake Harris, the 4-star Grand Rapids Audra two-sport stud who originally committed to Michigan State at regarding this time in 2012. Harris was Green and White many of the way—most thought—and nothing might well have made him change this tune.

But that was until such time as Ferrigno strutted his recruiting savvy and pulled the 2014 receiver through the grips of the Spartans, which hoped that Harris would probably play both basketball along with football. That was the main plan, mind you.

If perhaps Ferrigno works his magic with Jackson, Michigan will possibly not suffer all that substantially if it doesn't obtain Peppers. Jackson wouldn't become a bad consolation prize, but getting Peppers—who really wants to basically do everything within college, including winning the Heisman Trophy being a true freshman—is ideal for any Wolverines' overall athletic-talent grade.

Note: Peppers is classified as an athlete/safety by 247Sports, which often ranks him No. 1 from both spots. However, he's being recruited as a corner by Michigan.

Brown lightly is 6'4" and 282 pounds, and his size results in options for any lessons staff that secures his services.

As the Certainly no. 4-ranked prospect of 2014, Brown can be a nightmarish 5-star defensive tackle (No. 1 overall) to deal with. But he could get equally horrific for offensive lines to cope with should he be transferred to defensive end: It's possible to play with Brown at numerous positions given his athleticism. He'd must drop weight, but plenty of people have done that up to now.

Now, if Hand waives goodbye to Michigan and selects, say, Virginia Tech, the Wolverines may want to pounce on Brown immediately—not them to haven't already.

Browns' two-position potential could supplement the decline of Hand. Again, he brings a great deal to the table. Wolverines defensive coordinator Greg Mattison may have the time of her life coaching Brown, who is a surefire NFL candidate subsequent to prowling college fields for three years.

The cupboards are speedily being stocked in Ann Arbor. More topnotch talent will really commit to Hoke's program. And Jones, Jackson and Brown may be among those to make the option to play for one of college football's sleeping the behemoths.
