Son Heung-Min, who has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks, has put contract talks at Hamburg on hold.
Reports towards the end of last year suggested Son, who is out of contract at the end of next season, was on Liverpool's radar as manager Brendan Rodgers looked to add to his options in attack during the January transfer window.
Tottenham have also been linked with the 20-year-old, whose agent last month confirmed he had received "many offers", including two from Chelsea and Premier League leaders United.
The South Korea had recently insisted he was happy at Hamburg, but has now alerted clubs by deciding to wait until the summer before deciding on whether to seek a move.
