Manchester United 4-0 Norwich: Match report, pictures and video ...

Antonio Valencia's right wing cross was brought down by Robin van Persie, before Kagaawa beat the offside trap to stab home on the volley.

But United were below par by their own lofty standards until they sprung into life with three goals in the final 14 minutes.

Kagawa was on hand to fire home the second on 76 minutes after Wayne Rooney chased a ball down the right and cut the ball back.

It did not get any better for the Canaries goalkeeper, who was left flumoxed once more when Kagawa claimed the match ball by lifting the ball over him on 87 minutes.

And Rooney put the gloss on the win with a spectacular fourth with a blistering drive into the top corner in the dying moments of this one-sided match.

Ryan Giggs was forced to wait for his 1,000th senior appearance after being left out of the match day squad by Ferguson.
