One-way links At Lake Erie Lessons Review.

Michigan has a lot of fine links style courses carved through lowlands (and highlands) looking over the inland seas known as the Great Lakes. Irrespective of its name, The Links At Lake Erie is not one too. The only views you will get at this course can be of overhead power marks, an RV campground, railroad tracks and then a truckstop. It is clearly a former farmstead turned into a course.

Links at Lake Erie was made in 1988, and designed just by Michigan based architect Scott Thacker. Thacker also designed He Hills' Lakes and Timbers courses and New Hudson's Coyote Golf wedge.

The layout is solely flat, save for a lot of mounding and elevated shades of green. Links at Lake Erie is for the most part wide open, and a wayward shot won't be very costly unless you land in one of the many ponds. Water comes into play on twelve with the holes. A couple of dozen bunkers —almost all around the greens—are the course's other defense. However, the fronts within the greens are all available, so landing a shot short and allowing it to bound up is the safe play in a low score. Once at, the greens putt immediately and true.

In all of, the layout was not that interesting in my opinion. Hit the ball. Arrive at the ball again. Putt. I didn't realize it forced many conclusions or risk assessments.

A bogey golfer will score well at Links In Lake Erie, which might be aware of its otherwise inexplicable popularity. From the back t shirts, it measures 6, 575 yards and plays to your 70. 0/120. From the center tees, it measures 6, 168 yards and plays to a 67. 9/116.

Conditions relating to the day I played game me the that management was undecided on whether to go to operate as a the game, or allow it to return to use as some sort of cow pasture. There was a good amount of mowed grass, but the fairway and rough boundaries cant be found always clear. I also found a lot of wet, soggy areas.

If you live in the area, this might be a course to play on function. I cannot, however, advice that anyone seek it available.
