I understand there is plenty of nonsense concerning the Masters this week and whoas going to get, etc. We, needless to say, do know Tiger is the tennis gambling favorite with Titan Bet to get his sixth Green Jacket at Augusta but, besides that, I recently found some thing I thought you could be thinking about. A Iave been recently getting more into Tai Chi recently. Not designed for golf.AI was just interested in the aslowing downa part of the practice and just the real beauty of it. But, the more I exercise the more I can see its advantages a health, mindfulness, exercise, relaxation a itas all there. A If you donat know what Tai Chi is, itas identified as: aa Chinese system of slow meditative physical activity made for balance and peace and health.a A Now this isnat initially I've discussing tennis and fighting styles. I wrote articles a few years before called: aAlternativea Golf Power Using Martial Arts a http://golfdashblog.com/alternative-golf-power-martial-arts/ soAwould say this really is still another aspect of that dialogue. A I've never really practiced Tai-Chi before but I contacted a Gong Master who proposed a kind of Tai-Chi named aSilk Reelinga and said (didnat really say HOW long) it'd totally change your golf game if practiced long enough. He said he'd seen it, many, many times. Obviously, I was straight away involved. A He recommended a certain DVD (that I will list below). I'd like to just tell you itas a great deal tougher than you believe that it is. But it does get easier the more your training. Iam only on the first pair of forms but my breathing and movements are starting to match more and more. You are able to almost have the central power (Chi) building. A And, feel it or not, a good workout is actually got quite by you, specially your feet as all the activities are initialized from the bottom. Hmmmmmm, been there as well. It also shows you just how to relax your body while moving a' again, not as easy as it looks. A But back to the first purpose of the content. I was found some movie of Hogan and perusing an older tennis community I have never seen before. It had been weird. He was showing a buddy of his one way he practices a in slow motion. A It actually looks like a slow motion movie until Mr. Hogan hits the ball and it goes about 15 feet or so, when you watch it. But I was unaware how frequently he did this slow action exercise. It ties completely to Tai Chi and is a fantastic solution to practice because it makes you immediately aware of your system moves. Like Tai Chi it helps you sense aspects of tension or Chi impediment in your move. It generates you very conscious of how your golf swing actions move together. A But, you know, no one really wants to slow down. Every one just wants to pound balls at the range with the greatest (or best) driver they can find and expect quick results. The art of Tai Chi goes just the opposite of the. It *intentionally* forces one to decrease. To really empty your brain and you need to be alert to your body, balance and breathing. A I do believe Ben Crenshaw used to apply this also. Of so Iam not surprised at all course he was tied in with Hogan and his teacher Harvey Penick. A Therefore try the slow action practice. Itas one particular things that seem so clear but itas the last thing you might think of trying. To me, anything the fantastic Hogan did to increase and practice is well worth, at the very least, trying. Hereas the DVD I described above: Qi Cultivation and the Secrets of Manipulating Energy, Progressive Silk Reeling, Series I Tickets : asian system, Golf Power, Fighting Techinques, physical beauty, qi gong master, cotton, slowing, tai chi, Tiger If you loved this post, please think over to leave a comment or donate to the feed and get future articles brought to your feed reader.
