You can find, for all intents and purposes, five Championship teams fighting for three playoff spots. Those five teams (Nottingham Forest, Bolton Wanderers, Leicester City, Crystal Palace, and Brighton & Hove Albion) are separated by just three items and it's only goal difference that divides two sets of those teams. With just three matches left in the plan, the finish of the 2012/2013 year is going to be stressful. Four of those five groups have three matches left to play. Crystal Palace may be the exception with four to go since they need to make-up a match with Millwall that has been delayed due to the Lions' FA Cup run. Bolton's run-in consists of a home match against Middlesbrough, an away visit to Premier League-bound Cardiff City, and an end at home against Blackpool. Nottingham Forest (presently behind Bolton on goal big difference) have a match against Barnsley this weekend, a trip to the Den to handle Millwall next weekend, and eventually a game against Leicester city. Leicester City (currently one point above Bolton) have a tough schedule in front of them. They happen to be Crystal Palace before returning home to handle Watford, who are pushing for automatic promotion. They finish the regular season in a property match against Nottingham Forest. Crystal Palace (currently three items above Bolton) may take on Leicester City at home and then happen to be Blackburn before a tough Tuesday night visit to Millwall to take on the Lions at the Den. They finish at home against Peterborough United who, as things stand, are one point above the drop zone. Brighton & Hove Albion (currently three items above Bolton and have a target big difference edge on Crystal Palace) will welcome Blackpool to the Amex. Then they go Elland Road to handle Leeds United who are flying high under Brian McDermott, having won both matches since his appointment. Brighton will finish at home against Wolves who are one level and one spot above the drop zone. None of the playoff hopefuls have simple suits in front of them. Hardly any teams in the Championship have nothing to play for during this period and mid-table mediocrity hopefully will not be described as a element as it pertains to determining who will occupy the playoff places. No matter which way you look at it, among Bolton's playoff rivals may drop items. Leicester City undertake both Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest and should they get a win in every one of those, that means that both the Foxes and the Eagles fall three items. Attracts mean two points each for several parties and four points fallen over the board. The story is very much the same for every every team but Brighton & Hove Albion who'll not perform any matches against clubs presently above them in the table. Of if Bolton Wanderers don't get the job done ahead of them course, the table-watching will prove fruitless. As things stand, Bolton Wanderers are out from the playoffs by a single place. When all is said and done, six highlights of nine available may (and that is a cautious may) be sufficient for Bolton Wanderers to accomplish the job but it will make for anxious seeing. Seven points should do the task. Seven it would be nailed by points. Bolton Wanderers fans could have some nervy breaks forward.
