Cano converting providers from Boras to Jay-Z company

NEW YORK (AP) a Robinson Cano plans to modify providers from Scott Boras to a new organization formed by artist Jay-Z's Roc Nation and CAA Sports. Cano will soon be represented in football matters by CAA Sports' Brodie Van Wagenen. The New York Yankees second baseman is making $15 million this season and may become a totally free agent at the end of the World Series. "At this aspect in my profession, I'm prepared to take a more active role in my endeavors both on and off the field," Cano said in a statement. By Wednesday, Boras kept Cano's agent shown with the Major League Baseball Players Association. "I have yet to speak to Robinson, so until I talk to him," Boras said I am not going to comment. They have said while he remains under their control they hope to achieve a with the 30-year-old Cano, while the Yankees generally await contracts to expire before negotiating new arrangements with participants. Boras often prefers that his customers become free agents to boost bidders and increase their values. The new company, Roc Nation Sports, is led by Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, and Juan Perez, who'll be the company president. Jay-Z, a part owner of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets, is helpful with hurt Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, a former Boras client. "Because of my love of sports, it was a natural progression to create an organization for years," Carter said in a record where we will help top players in different sports the same way we have been supporting artists in the music industry. Yankees normal supervisor Brian Cashman said Feb. 28 that the team had made a significant supply to Cano for a new package. The agent fees for Cano's next agreement may become at the mercy of litigation between Boras and the brand new business.
